Connecticut Maple Syrup

- Syrup Straight from Nature's Sweetest Source

At Hens of the Hill Farm, we are passionate about our maple syrup, and we want to share that passion with you. Our syrup is made from sap collected from maple trees on our family-owned farm and boiled down to perfection to create unique flavor profiles that are unrivaled. We take great care in our process, ensuring that every bottle of maple syrup leaves our farm with the same quality and care that went into making it.

How to Produce Maple Syrup

If you ever wonder why pure maple syrup is more expensive than artificial, you just need to look at the work involved. We tap 300 trees over 12 acres, and then run plastic tubes to collect the sap in February and March. After collecting the sap, we boil it down into syrup in our sugar shack, monitoring the temperature and adding more sap to maintain the perfect boil. Did you know, it takes 90 gallons of sap to produce one gallon of maple syrup?!
